2024 REGISTRATION RULES

The 2024 Canadian Tire Mitchell’s Bay Open bass tournament will be held July 5 and 6, 2024 in Mitchell’s Bay, Ontario. Registration will be available to 95 teams of two anglers (team captain and co-angler).

Priority registration for the 2023 tournament teams will begin October 16, 2023 at 12:00pm. Priority registration will end December 15, 2023; any remaining spots will be offered to the waiting list in order of wait list registration submission. Spots forfeited due to non-payment of fees will be offered to the waiting list.

2023 Tournament team captains will have priority to register for 2024 events (if the team captain chooses to forfeit their priority registration, the spot may be deferred to the co-angler of the 2023 team only). If the 2023 team captain and co-angler choose to participate separately in 2024, the co-angler must register on the waiting list.

TEAM NUMBERS

Team numbers will be assigned once the registration form is submitted. Please take note of your team number provided on the registration confirmation page (you will require this information for payment). Launch order/boat numbers will be drawn in April 2024 (date to be announced).

FEES

2024 Entry fee: $450.00 (includes $25 big fish pool)

2024 Marine Park 5 day launch pass: $50

Full entry fees are to be e-transferred to: treasurer@mitchellsbayopen.com. E-transfer must include the registration team # provided on the following confirmation page and the team captain’s name. Failure to include this information may result in the inability to match the information of the registration and payment. Failure to submit payment by December 15, 2023 will result in your registration being forfeited.

USA residents – please contact Gary Jenkins (treasurer@mitchellsbayopen.com) for payment instruction, e-transfer is not available for those outside of Canada.

REFUNDS

No refunds will be given after June 7, 2024 to allow sufficient time to offer registration to waiting list applicants. Withdrawal from the tournament and associated refund requests made before June 7, 2024 will be subject to a $10 administration fee.

NOTE: Incomplete registration forms will not be accepted. Please be prepared to provide all required information at time of registration including full contact information for both anglers, boat description and insurance policy information.


2024 WAITLIST INFORMATION

The 2024 waiting list will open October 16, 2023 – a $10 non-refundable deposit will be collected. (No more than 30 teams will be accepted to the waiting list).

Note: Priority registration for 2023 tournament teams will end and all fees are to be submitted by December 15, 2023. Any remaining spots will be offered to waitlist registrants in order of form submission. All waitlist registration will be collected via online form.

Waitlist registrants will be issued a waitlist number reflective of the order of form submission (i.e. 5th form submitted will be waitlist #5)

Following initial tournament registration, remaining waitlisted teams will be retained until the beginning of the tournament. Should registered teams withdraw, the spot will be offered to the waitlist in numerical order.

WAITLIST DEPOSIT

A non-refundable deposit of $10 will be collected from waitlisted teams. Deposits are to be e-transferred to: treasurer@mitchellsbayopen.com within 7 days of completion of the waitlist form. E-transfer must include the waitlist team # provided on the following confirmation page and the team captain’s name. Failure to include this information may result in the inability to match the information of the registration and payment.

PRE-TOURNAMENT ENTRY FOR WAITLISTED TEAMS

Spots will be offered to the waitlist by way of email – an email will be sent to the team captain, if no response is received within 5 days a courtesy phone call will be made. Please ensure the committee has your correct and up to date information. If no contact can be made by email or phone or no response has been received after 10 days the registrar will move on the next team on the waitlist.

ENTRY FOR WAITLISTED TEAMS AFTER JUNE 7, 2024

An attempt by email and phone will be made. If no contact made or response received within 3 days the registrar will proceed to offer the spot to the next waitlisted team.

ENTRY FOR WAITLISTED TEAMS WITHIN 10 DAYS OF TOURNAMENT START

An attempt will be made by phone to elicit interest in tournament registration. The registrar will allow reasonable time to gain a response from waitlisted teams before proceeding to the next team to offer the spot in numerical order.
